I have absolutely no reason to lie to you when you ask me a support question. In fact, if I tell you the truth and it solves the problem it makes my life easier in the long run. It isn’t fun for me to make you jump through hoops. I don’t get perverse joy by watching you flail. Mostly I just want you to leave me alone, and the sooner I give you the correct answer, the sooner that will happen.
Also, when I tell you something isn’t possible, don’t ask for the same thing in slightly different words. If it wasn’t possible in the first case, it isn’t going to be possible the second time. and it certainly isn’t going to be possible the 50th.
